Monster High Operetta Review

Sunni hasn't always been in love with "Barbies". Now me? I was OBSESSED as a child all the way up until I was 16. Yes ladies and gents. I wasn't all head over heels for the New Kids On the Block UNTIL I stopped playing with dolls. Okay maybe a little before. But, can you blame me? So a couple years ago. Around Christmas of 2011 I started to see what was on the market. And being the hip Mom that I am. I did some research. Looking at what was at comic con was my main focus. Some doll that would impress my daughter. Get her into dolls like her good old Ma. And BAM! I found a quirky yet totally barbie worthy Doll. The series was called "Monster High" and each doll was uniquely made in the form of children of iconic "Monsters". Your typical Dracula, Frankenstein, Poltergeist, Boogyman, etc. I could go on and on. And that is what makes these dolls so unique. I am currently working on an unboxing for Youtube. But this is my 10 year old daughter Sunni holding Operetta (Daughter of The Phantom of the Opera) pretty clever huh? She has a scar on the left cheek that details all the way down her left arm. She does wear a mask. This outfit she is wearing is actually a dress pack sold separately. Mommy has the original Operetta in the box still. And the dollhouse behind Sunni is actually a custom Monster High "Haunted House" painted black for that spooky feel by Moi'. I am hoping one day Monster High by Mattel will get into creating a really nice elaborate doll house for those die hard fans like my daughter and I. If you are looking for a doll unique (often imitated) Barbie-esque then this is your best bet. I am in contact with Mattel to do future reviews. If it gets a little jumbled then I will hold a contest for my most prized possession my 1st series Operetta still in the box. Keep in mind they no longer sell the original Operetta. But for the sake of my fans I am willing to part with her. More reviews of various Monster High dolls and many other brands of dolls will be on their way. Keep this page marked in your favorites for upcoming dolls that will either tickle your fancy or flop dead in the water. The price point for this doll in store in a rating of $-$$. Which evens out from $15-25 retail.
