Disney On Ice is back in 2014 with NEW characters! They are all having a Rockin' Ever After too! This New Year brings new beginnings. And for Disney it was a no brainer to bring on some of their "NEW" and most popular character lineup. We began the night at the Thomas and Mack Center at around 7:00 pm. My Daughters and Myself included did not want this night to end. Each Character tells of their tales all in this fun packed 2-Hour Ice skating, Musical, Sing-a-long spectacular. It is filled with fresh memories of not only my younger years with (Belle, Cinderella's nasty Step Sisters, and Ariel) but, also my Daughters generation of characters like (Merida from "Brave" and Rapunzel). Even the Princes are in full force on the ice!
Sunni prepped and ready for the show to begin
As you can tell by the background. We had center front seats. Sunni could hardly wait for the show to begin. And because she was so excited, I started to get butterflies in my tummy too! This is the first time for all of us to ever go to a Disney on Ice show. Just let me tell you. Disney really does know how to keep you entertained. And not to mention this is an awesome way to bring in 2014 on an excellent note.
The bug trying to contain her excitement!!
The bug is 3 and Sunni is 10. The perfect age to bring these characters to life right in front of their eyes! We are hooked for life now! This is going to be a family fun event each year. I can already tell you. Nothing about this night was bland. It was just all so....MAGICAL. How else can anyone describe something like this? I found myself throughout the show looking over at the girls and watching their expressions as each character came out and gave their story to us.. their devoted audience. "Hoots", and "Howls", "Cheers" and *"boos" (*only at the "Villains" of course.) The music gets in your soul and you cannot help but, dance (in your seat) and sing-a-long. I was belting out some of the Ariel tunes myself.
The "ice skaters" were all so talented! I would see this again and again.
To be honest you really start to ignore that you are in an arena and surrounded by Disney fans everywhere. Until intermission and then you realize that EVERYONE was holding off going to the bathroom because they did not want to miss a thing! I did not want to go into much detail about the show because I hate it when someone ruins my experience by telling me all that happens. I would go there analyzing every step, song, and movement. Instead I will show you just a few of the still shots from out favorite parts!
Ariel and her BFF Flounder
